Free unlimited WiFi access at all MDL Marinas

MDL Marinas has launched wireless internet access (WiFi) at all of their 18 marina locations, and to celebrate, will be giving away free 24-hour WiFi access to all overnight visitors who are members of their Cruising Club scheme during the whole of August! Membership to Cruising Club is FREE and visitors can join during their stay, PLUS members enjoy every seventh overnight stay absolutely FREE.

Consistently setting the standard in today’s UK Marinas, MDL has invested two years in the project, which replaces traditional wire broadband access. The new WiFi service gives berth holders and overnight visitors broadband speed internet access in and around the marina with a secure connection. Prices for this service range from £4.99 for 24 hours to £9.99 for a month’s use of MDL’s WiFi, with Club Outlook members receiving 50 hours of complimentary connectivity as part of their membership. All subscriptions include roaming between MDL WiFi HotSpots at each of MDL’s 18 locations.

MDL recognised that WiFi would give people more choice over where and how they work, and that the wireless connection would allow people to spend more time on board their boat. This new development allows customers to sit in their boats and actually talk to the office live, as well as access their emails. For those that visit their boats to take a break from the office, WiFi offers great opportunities including downloading charts to your laptop, checking weather forecasts, making dinner reservations at your destination port or even shopping online for delivery when you arrive home, all whilst sat aboard your boat.
